Nothing says "closed road" like a 3 foot tall pile of rubble

Looking back down from where I came from.

In the end, I was able to reach the Currahee Mountain road from the Cornelia side, and enjoyed an intense slog up the USFS road, and a sweet bomb back down.

Here's the short write up I did on the Curahee Mountain road on Singletracks... more photos from that ride to come.

View of Currahee Mountain

Taken from near the Frady Branch:

Now if there were no powerlines, this might be an awesome shot.

Going to ride the Frady Branch... and then I got SHUT DOWN

Got up early and drove 50 miles to ride, and then:

What a let down!

Finished Reading: "Three"

Thr3e by Ted Dekker.

This book was an excellent commentary on the battle within every Christian between the sin nature and the redeemed man. I really liked it!

Quick ride on the road

Did a quick 13.5 miles on the roads near my house today. My chain was slipping really badly off of my middle chainring though. Kind of torturous to not be able to put a full load of power on it. New chainring is in the mail... (please get here soon!)

Finished Reading: "In the Name of Jesus"

In the Name of Jesus (Reflections on Christian Leadership) by Henri J.M. Nouwen.

I got this from Rob S. at the end of my youth ministry internship in Montana (and I actually didn't just read it now, I read it a couple of months ago), and it was very insightful.

3 things to do:
-Contemplative prayer
-Confession and forgiveness
-Theological reflection

Currently Reading: The Bible
